Jeff Mittie added two guards and one of the tallest centers in program history with three new signees to start the fall signing period on Wednesday.

Christian Academy (Knoxville, TN) teammates Anna Hammaker, a 5-9 guard, and Cheyenne Hooper, a 6-6 center, are joined by 6-0 guard Kayla Goth from DeForest High School (DeForest, WI).

“We wanted to add length and versatility in this class,” Mittie said in a release. “We were able to sign three players that add that capability with the skill level that we need in the Big 12. All three players have the athletic ability to go make plays at both ends of the floor and the size at their positions that we were looking for.”

Goth averaged 13.5 points, 4.1 assists and 4.3 steals per game during the 2013-14 season and led her team to a state runner-up finish.

Hammaker averaged 18.3 points, 5.1 steals, 4.9 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game during her junior season in Knoxville.

Hooper is returning to the basketball program for her senior season at Christian Academy in Knoxville after taking a year off to focus on volleyball. She helped lead the school to a 24-8 record during her sophomore season. At 6-6, she will be tied as the tallest player in program history.

K-State opens up the 2014-15 season on Friday at home against SIUE.
