The first phase of the project will maintain two-way traffic on North Manhattan Avenue, but temporary access will be provided for those using Research Park Drive to access the Kansas Department of Agriculture, Manhattan/KSU Innovation Center and Mary and Carl Ice Hall. A temporary driveway will be located 300 feet to the north of Research Park Drive.
Pavers Inc. of Salina will construct the $1.8 million improvements, which include widening North Manhattan Avenue and allowing for additional turn lanes at the intersection at Research Park Drive. The project is expected to last through August 2015.
Please drive slowly, obey all posted traffic control signs and use caution around work zones.
