A Westmoreland man already facing attempted robbery and other charges in Riley County, now also apparently faces charges in a Pottawatomie County case.
Nathan Woodyard, 38, was taken into custody by Riley County Police Monday afternoon for two counts of of burglary, and four counts of theft. RCPD indicates these latest offenses were listed on a warrant from Pottawatomie County, with a bond of $12,000.
Pottawatomie County attorney Sherri Schuck tells KMAN Woodyard is charged with residential burglary,non-residential burglary, felony theft and two misdemeanor theft counts, in connection with a May 11th incident. Tuesday was his first appearance in Pottawatomie County Court.Woodyard was set for a pre-trial hearing in Riley County Court Monday afternoon.

May 11th is also the day in question for Woodyard’s Riley County charges. The Westmoreland man was arrested by Riley County Police after he was involved in a motor vehicle collision near the 2800 block of Pillsbury Drive. The vehicle Woodyard was driving had been reported as stolen and he then reportedly attempted to steal another vehicle from the scene and battered two people in the process, neither with life-threatening injuries.
