    K-State Women knock off Tech

    Ashia Woods scored 19 points as Kansas State pulled out a 41-37 victory over Texas Tech in Big 12 Women’s Basketball action Saturday afternoon in Lubbock.

    K-State was able to win its second straight game despite scoring only 18 second half points, but the Defense came alive for Jeff Mittie’s squad which held the Lady Red Raiders to only 14 points. Brianna Craig added nine points and Breanna Lewis added six for the victorious Wildcats who picked up the 250th road victory in the history of the program. Amber Battle led all scorers for Texas Tech with 19 points.

    Kansas State (13-7, 3-6) returns to Bramlage Coliseum this Wednesday to face Texas. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
