Onaga police are currently investigating a bomb threat that took place late this morning at Onaga High School.
According to Onaga Police Chief Daniel Costlow, the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Department received word of the threat at 10:42 a.m. Tuesday morning. The city chose to evacuate both the school and hospital as a precaution.
Costlow said police have no reason to believe there is any validity to the threat at this time and that they’re currently questioning a person of interest in the incident.
Sheriff Greg Riat says a boy under the age of 14 was arrested then released to his parents after being booked.
