    RCPD Report 3/8/15 (Fake Patty’s Day)

    The Sunday arrest report from the Riley County Police Department indicates 28 arrests, but only three with bonds of $5,000 or  more on the day after Fake Patty’s Day.

    Curtis Cline, 19, of Manhattan faces a drug-related possession charge, purchase or consumption of alcohol as a minor, and resisting arrest. Cline was taken into custody at about 3:40  p.m. Saturday at Thurston and Ninth Streets. His bond was set at $7,000.

    Daniel Danahy, 24, of Pretty Prairie was taken into custody on drug-related distribution and obstruction of the legal process charges. Danahy was arrested in the 1000 Block of 11th Street shortly after five p.m. Saturday and his bond was set at $6,000.

    Wade Anthony Kye II of Kansas City, Ks., 23, was taken into custody on a no bond warrant for failure to appear at about 8 p.m. at the Riley County Law Enforcement Center.

    The other 24 arrests with lower bond amounts were primarly alcohol and/or drug related, with at least a couple of DUI’s. Addresses of those arrested are as far away as Brandon, South Dakota,  Farmington Hill, Michigan, and St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo. Cities around Kansas represented were Wichita, Hays, Derby, Leawood, Dodge City,and Valley Center.

    The Sunday RCPD incident report lists six cases of battery, with one involving a law enforcement officer; five criminal damage to property cases, 10 involving drugs–with four of those listing marijuana, about 50 cases of unlawful possession/consumption involving minors, and 15 disorderly conducts.
