    Updated Noon Monday:
Details have finally been released regarding a shots fired incident KMAN first reported Sunday afternoon.
Police in Riley County responded to a report of multiple shots being fired in the area of 11th Street and Fremont Street in Manhattan Sunday at approximately 1:35 AM. Police were told that a black male wearing a dark blue jacket and a shirt with a white design on it was observed fleeing from the area and possibly armed with a handgun.

Officers made contact with a male subject matching the description shortly after arriving on scene and gathering pertinent information about the crime. This subject immediately fled through the Manhattan City Park causing police to give chase on foot. Police apprehended the subject near the intersection of South Manhattan Avenue and Houston Street.

Riley County Police Dispatch at this time learned of a gunshot wound victim who had received medical attention at Mercy Regional Health Center shortly after the incident was reported. Officers met with this victim and confirmed that a gunshot wound to the leg was received at the intersection of 11th Street and Fremont. This injury was not considered life threatening and Wesley Dukes, 23, of Manhattan was later released from medical care.

Detectives conducting follow-up investigation were able to confirm that a stray bullet had entered an apartment complex located at 1011 Fremont Street. No injuries were reported at this location.

Dontay Tabron, 21, of 2125 Hillview Drive was arrested in regard to the offenses of aggravated battery (great bodily harm) and criminal discharge of a firearm (into an occupied dwelling) after what police believe was originally a verbal altercation between the two while in Aggieville earlier that night. Tabron was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department and given a bond of $30,000.00. He was confined at the time of this release.

While an official connection has not been made to a report of shots fired early Sunday morning near Aggieville, there was an arrest at about nine a.m. Sunday for aggravated battery and criminal discharge of a firearm–labelled as reckless-dwelling.  Dontay Lorenzo Tabron, 21, of Manhattan was taken into custody at the Riley County Law Enforcement center Sunday morning. Tabron’s bond was set at $30,000.
Again–no official connection has been made with the early morning shooting incident reported at 10th and Fremont.
