Both of Wamego’s Page sisters are now together in the K-State women’s basketball program. K-State announced Wednesday that Lanie Page signed a letter of intent with the Wildcats and will join her older sister Kaylee with the team.
Lanie was a three-time all-state pick in high school and is ranked the number 82 high school prospect in the country by ESPN. She avearged 16 points per game during her high school career and was at one time committed to Nebraska.
“Lanie had an outstanding high school career at Wamego High School,” K-State head coach Jeff Mittie said in a release. “She has a great skill set that fits nicely in our system.”
Kaylee played in five games at Nebraska last season before transferring to K-State for the second semester.
Both Lanie and Kaylee are listed as 6-2 forwards. They help make up the 2015 recruiting class along with fall signees Kayla Goth, Anna Hammaker and Cheyenne Hooper.
“Our freshmen group for the 2015-16 season will add to the size and versatility that we want to continue to improve on our roster,” Mittie said in a release.
