A soldier who had been slated for a jury trial this week in Riley County District Court on rape and indecent liberties charges has entered a plea. Timothy Ayers entered the plea to rape and aggravated indecent liberties prior to the trial.
Ayers’ arrest in December stemmed from a warrant in connection with a northern Riley County incident that occurred last August. The charges involved a child under 14.
