Police Officers in Riley County are reminding the community about the importance of protecting yourself from fraud. When making online transactions make sure you known and trust the other party. If you are being asked to pay in giftcards, online store credit (for places like Amazon.com), or by money transfer make sure to ask questions and know where your money is going. These forms of payment are often used by subjects committing fraud.
