    Riley County sexual exploitation case

    0
By KMAN Staff on June 23, 2015 Local News, Riley County

    Riley-County-Courthouse-300x199

48-year-old John Thomas of Leonardville pleaded no contest   Monday to three charges of sexual exploitation of a child.

Thomas appeared at the Riley County District Courthouse       alongside his attorney Larry McRell.

As KMAN had previously reported, an affidavit was released in late march and referenced 100 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Riley County police say Thomas allegedly had numerous images of child pornography.

A warrant was issued for his arrest in February.

He was arrested in northern Arizona one month later.

Federal authorities say Thomas had dramatically changed his appearance but still was identified and arrested without incident.

Thomas’ next court appearance date is set for August 3rd.
