Recent rainfall has Tuttle Creek Lake rising.
The normal lake level is 1075.00 according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. As of Thursday morning the lake was at a level of 1105.18, a rise of 30.18 feet.
Brian McNulty, Operation Project Manager with the USACE, spoke with KMAN on Wednesday, where he shared that one of the lakes purposes is to control flooding.
McNulty said that as of Wednesday boat ramps were underwater, and indicated that this may be best due to their being a build-up of debris in the lake.
With storms in the forecast for much of the next week, KMAN will keep you informed should the situation worsen.
