A Manhattan man is behind bars Wednesday after police say an argument escalated into violence.
Earnest Johnson, 51, was arrested at 1000 Pierre Street June 30, around 8:30 AM.
He’s charged with aggravated domestic battery.
Johnson was arrested after probable cause was found supporting claims that he attempted to strangle the victim. Due to the nature of the crime, the victim’s name is not being released.
Also arrested while officers were on scene was Jennifer Vandermark, 47, of Manhattan.
Vandermark was arrested for the offense of criminal damage to property after a tire and vehicle belonging to Johnson was damaged.
The total estimated loss was noted as being $500 dollars.
