    Police in Riley County arrested a Manhattan man on rape related charges Thursday.  Eric Santiago, 21, was taken into custody at approximately 10:20 AM while at the Riley County Police Department.
    Santiago was arrested for the offenses of two counts of rape for an incident that occurred in March. He was given a bond of $30,000.

    A 32-year-old Manhattan man was served an arrest warrant for failure to appear with the original offense of possession of opiates, opium, or narcotics drugs. Andre Quinton Jr., was arrested on the warrant Thursday at approximately 5:40 PM while at the Riley County Police Department. Quinton’s bond was set at  $10,000.

    Riley County Police arrested a Manhattan woman on two warrants shortly after six Thursday evening.  Benita Black, 55, was taken into custody while at the Riley County Police Department on 2 warrants for motion to revoke probation or parole with the original offenses of interference with law enforcement and disorderly conduct. She was given a bond of $6,000.

    Riley County Police officers arrested an Ohio man on drug-related charges.   Thomas Bergener, 33, of Canton, Ohio was taken into custody at about one a.m. Friday  while in the 400 block of Fort Riley Blvd.
    Bergener was arrested for the offenses of possession of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs and possession of methamphetamine precursors. He was given a bond of $5,000.
    Police made contact with Bergener after receiving complaints about an unwanted subject who was in a gas station bathroom and refusing to leave after a significant amount of time. Drug activity was suspected and officers seized approximately 1 gram of heroin as well as a needle.

    A report of sexual battery was filed in the northern portion of Manhattan Thursday afternoon at about 4:45 for an incident that allegedly occurred earlier that day. Riley County Police found a 44-year-old female who indicates she was touched on the chest inappropriately by a 41-year-old male suspect. Officers continue to investigate and at the time of this report no arrests had made.
