Appointees announced Thursday for the Kansas Board of Regents and other state posts include a couple of Manhattan leaders.
Dennis Mullin who is the Chair and CEO of Steel Pipe and Supply was approved by the state Senate Oversite Committee with favorable recommendation for the Board of Regents. Mullin and the other two Board of Regents appointees must now be approved by a majority vote of the Kansas Senate. Mullin also serves on the Business Advisory Council at K-State’s College of Business Administration and KS State Bank board.
Also recommended by the Kansas Senate Oversight Committee was Michael Rogers of Manhattan, for a four year term with the Kansas Public Employee Retirement Board of Trustees. Rogers’ term would be for four years. He retired as CEO from Varney and Associates after 43 years with the firm.
