A large natural gas line was ruptured shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday in the area of 916 Pottawatomie Street. Residents were asked to stay away from the area and those living within a quarter mile and were asked to evacuate the area until further advised.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m. Kansas Gas Service announced that the leak had been fixed and that residents were allowed to return to their homes. No injuries were reported.
