Officers on foot patrol in the Aggieville Business District filed a report for theft in the 700 block of N. Manhattan Ave. on October 16, 2015 at approximately 1:10 AM. Police found that Fredrick McGee, 36, of Manhattan became the victim of theft after his bicycle – a men’s mountain bike which is black and has the words “Freddy’s Ride” – was taken without his permission. This crime is likely to have occurred between October 15, 2015 at 11:00 PM and October 16, 2015 at 12:30 AM. The bike is valued at approximately $800.00 and currently it has not been recovered and officers are asking anyone with information to contact the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers or the Riley County Police Department. The bike was not secured at the time of this crime and currently suspect(s) are unknown.
