A six-year-old Abilene girl died in a car/pedestrian accident in Abilene Tuesday afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Tayla Womochil died in the accident at the intersection of Buckeye Avenue and Sixth Street at 3:23 p.m.
KHP adds the accident occurred when a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Beverly Barnett, 59, of Enterprise was westbound on Sixth Street. The vehicle stopped at the stop sign, turned left and struck Womochil.
