Police in Riley County filed a report for motor vehicle theft Monday at approximately 2:40 PM while in the 1400 block of Houston Street in Manhattan. Officers indicate Samer Salcido, 20, of Fort Riley became the victim of the crime when a blue 2009 Kia Optima that he owned was removed from the area by an unknown subject(s).
The vehicle was left unsecured with keys located inside. Currently officers are asking for information on this crime and encourage anyone with tips to contact the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. The total estimated loss is approximately $16,000.00.
