RCPD Report 11/2/2015

Officers with the Riley County Police Department are investigating a reported rape which occurred in the city limits of Manhattan on October 30, 2015 during the evening or night hours. This crime was reported on October 31, 2015 at approximately 2:50 PM and involved a 23-year-old female victim and a 25-year-old male suspect. The suspect is known to the victim. Police filed a report for the offenses of rape, aggravated domestic battery, and criminal restraint after being told of the incident. Officers continue to investigate this matter and at the time of this report no arrests had been made pending further investigation.

A burglary report was filed on November 1, 2015 at approximately 10:20 PM in the 700 block of N. 4th Street in Manhattan by officers with the Riley County Police Department. Hector Gallardo (age not available at the time of this report) became the victim of this crime when his unsecured home was entered by an unknown subject(s) and items were removed without permission. These items included television, PS4, and a microwave with a total estimated value of $960.00. No arrests had been made at the time of this report and officers ask that anyone with information contact the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Doing so could qualify tipsters for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
