    RCPD Report – November 16th

    MANHATTAN, KAN. – A report of a Burglary to a residence was filed in the 1900 Block of Lincoln Drive in Manhattan on November 15th at approximately 9:01 AM.  Terrence Isom, 29, of Manhattan reported that multiple miscellaneous electronic items valued at approximately $1250.00 had been taken from his residence.  No arrests have been made at the time of this report, however, officers continue to investigate.

    A report of an Aggravated Arson, Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property was filed in the 800 block of Colorado Street in Manhattan on November 14th at approximately 10:25 PM.  Jeremy Richmond, 23,and Prianna Baggett, 20, both of Manhattan reported multiple miscellaneous damaged items inside of their residence and a damaged windshield on their vehicle.  A small fire had also apparently been set and extinquished inside of their residence.  One pair of shoes was taken from inside of the residence as well.  The total value of the damaged and stolen items was approximately $1100.00.   This incident continues to be under investigation.

    Police and emergency crews responded to a report of an injury accident in the 7300 block of McDowell Creek Road on November 14th at approximately 1:15 PM.  This response came after a Yamaha Motorcycle driven by Kenneth Walston, 24, of Manhattan left the roadway coming to a rest in the west side of the road.   Walston was transported by Lifestar to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka with multiple injuries.  This accident continues to be under investigation.

    Clayton Burgess II, 32, of Grandview Missouri was arrested on November 13th at approximately 5:00 PM while at the Riley County Police Department.  Burgess was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for Aggravated Interference with Parental Custody.  Bond was listed as $10,000.00 for this offense and Burgess remained confined at the time of this report.

    Jermaine Patton, 27, of Manhattan was arrested on November 13th at approximately 4:36 PM while at the Riley County Police Department.  Patton was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for Probation Violation.  Bond was listed as $5,000.00 and Patton was no longer confined at the time of this report.

    Joshua Mall, 39, of Riley Kansas was arrested on November 13th at approximately 7:41 PM while at the Riley County Police Department.  Mall was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for Murder in the Second Degree, Possession of Marijuana and Transporting an Open Container.  Bond was listed as $250,000.00 and Mall remained confined at the time of this report.

    Police were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the 3000 Block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard on November 14th at approximately 6:07 PM.  Upon arrival a 16 year old male was found who had been the victim of a gunshot wound to the hand.  Prior to this the victim had been involved in an apparent altercation with another 16 year old male suspect.  The victim and suspect appear to be known to each other.  The suspect has been identified and contacted by RCPD Detectives.  The victim was transported by EMS to Via Christi Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  This incident continues to be under investigation.
