A Riley County Man has been arrested for murder in the 2nd degree.

Riley County Police arrested Joshua Michael Mall, 39, on Friday.

Six-year-old Madilyn Mall, a passenger in a truck driven by Mall, was killed in an accident on October 5th.

Mall lost control of his 2001 Ford Ranger while driving along the 2400 Block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard – resulting in the vehicle colliding with a 2013 Chevy Cruz on Northfield Road, then leaving the roadway and colliding with a tree.

RCPD has stated that Mall is also being held on charges of unintentional/reckless driving, unlawful possession of hallucinogenics/marijuana and transporting an open container.

As previously reported by KMAN, police were seeking witnesses in the collision and a GoFundMe.com page had been established to help cover funeral expenses for Madilyn Mall.
