    Updated Thursday morning:

Firefighters were called to the Riverchase Mobile Home Park north of Manhattan at about two p.m. Wednesday, with damage estimated at nearly $20,000 to the structure and contents. The owner of the mobile home is listed as Lisa Volpent, with Kerrie Volpent the occupant. There were no injuries. The cause is not known although Riley County Fire Chief Pat Collins tells KMAN it appears the fire started in a rear bedroom, more than likely caused by an electrical short in the outlet. It’s not known if it was a wiring issue or if it was over-loaded.
