    RCPD vehicles (better) 6-15

    Riley County Police are reporting early Monday officers  responded to the 700 block of Fremont Street in Manhattan where they found an unresponsive 54-year-old male. The man’s name is not being released pending notification of family members. Foul play is not suspected.

    Riley County Police arrested a Manhattan woman last week on a variety of charges and a large bond. Due to the long holiday weekend, information has just been released regarding the arrest last Wednesday in the 400 block of South 3rd Street in Manhattan.

    During a traffic stop the driver,  Marie Berryman, 36, was found to be in possession of Marijuana and provided officers with a false name. Berryman was ultimately arrested for possession of Marijuana, Interference with a law enforcement officer, and driving while suspended.

    Berryman’s bond was set at $3,000.00. But Berryman was also arrested on A Geary County warrant for Failure to appear with a $7,500 bond and a second Geary County warrant for probation violation with a $5,000 bond. Berryman was released to the Geary County Sheriff’s Department.

    A Christmas Eve arrest was reported Monday involving a traffic stop in the 500 block of Moro Street in Manhattan. During the traffic stop the driver,  Johnathon Shuck, 32, of Richmond, Missouri., was found to be driving while suspended, in possession of drug paraphernalia, and in possession of Methamphetamine residue.

    Further, Shuck’s vehicle had a stolen registration sticker attached to its license plate. Shuck was arrested for possession of opiates, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, and possession of stolen property. Shuck’s bond was set at $5,500.

    A Manhattan man faces several charges following his arrest Christmas Eve.  Ronnie Booher, 37, was taken into custody for three Riley County District Court warrants for failure to appear. The original charges were Aggravated Assault, use of a deadly weapon, with a $7,500 bond, Domestic battery with a $5,000 bond, and Domestic battery with $2,000 bond.

    Riley County Police released more information regarding a Saturday traffic stop on Hillview Drive in Manhattan. Officers arrested Domingo Ward, 31, for driving while suspended, driving while a habitual violator, and operating without an ignition interlock device. Ward’s bond was set at $6,000.

    Three burglaries were reported over the long Christmas holiday weekend. On Christmas Day Riley County Police officers filed a residential burglary report in the 1800 block of Platt Street in Manhattan. The victims reported several Jordan shoes, a computer, and a gaming system were stolen. Loss is estimated at $2,800. The case is currently under investigation.

    The next day, officers filed a burglary report in rural Riley County near Leonardville. The victim reported several items of lawn equipment were stolen from a storage shed. Loss is unknown at this time.

    And Sunday officers filed a residential burglary report in the 1300 block of Flint Hills Place in Manhattan. The victim reported several electronic items were stolen. Loss is estimated at $1,400.
