A Junction City woman was taken to the hospital following a two vehicle accident in Shawnee county Thursday afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Ashley Wright, 22, was taken to Stormont Vail in Topeka for a possible injury, following the accident on I-70 eastbound at Carlson Road.
KHP indicates Wright was driving a 2001 Honda in the right lane and for an unknown reason struck the rear of a 2014 Freightliner Semi driven by 45 year old Jody Juhl of Missouri, who was not injured. Both vehicles came to rest on the right shoulder.
The accident was reported shortly after 12:30 in the afternoon. Wright did not have a seat belt on.
