    RCPD Report 2/8/2016

    Shadow Hosier, 27, of Manhattan was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on February 5, 2016, at approximately 1 p.m. Hosier was arrested on two warrants for probation violation. The original offenses are listed as domestic battery and battery. He was given a bond of $7,500.

    Police in Riley County filed a report and are now investigating the crimes of rape and aggravated criminal sodomy within the city limits of Manhattan. This report was filed on February 6, 2016, at approximately 3 p.m. for an incident involving a 20-year-old female victim and a 20-year-old male suspect which is said to have occurred after 11 p.m. on February 5, 2016. Police were told that the victim did not give consent for sexual contact while at a party. Officers continue to investigate the matter and due to the nature of this crime, no further information has been released.

    RCPD arrested Hector Chavarria-Kessinger, 25, of Marysville, on February 7, 2016, at approximately 10:10 a.m. while in the 1100 block of Fremont Street. Chavarria-Kessinger was arrested on a warrant from Logan County, Kansas for the offenses of criminal threat and harassment by telephone. He was given a bond of $100,000.
