    Update to Via Christi construction

To accommodate more patients and visitors during the new phase of construction, beginning March 21, the Main Entrance to Via Christi Hospital will remain open until 10 p.m.
A volunteer will be present at the Admissions Desk inside the Main Entrance to assist patients and visitors who arrive between 7 and 10 p.m.
This change in access is a result of the ongoing construction taking place in the Emergency Room area. The hallway/corridor leading from the Emergency (South) Entrance to the main part of the hospital will be closed for approximately one month.
This closure affects non-emergent patients and visitors who normally enter through the Emergency (South) Entrance. These individuals come to Via Christi Hospital for outpatient appointments or to visit patients in the Birth and Women’s Center, Intensive Care Unit and Surgery areas. All non-Emergency patients and visitors should enter through the Main Entrance until further notice.
This closure does not affect Emergency Room patients and their accompanying visitors.
Hospital leaders still advise community members with non-life threatening conditions to seek treatment with their primary care providers or urgent care facilities before going to the ER.
Via Christi Hospital, a member of Ascension, has been going through many physical changes since April 2015. The ER construction is part of a $15.5 million renovation project to provide more clinical space, updated features and improve patient flow, access and security.
