Riley County Police also arrested a Chapman man for robbery.

Travis Moreland (24) was arrested shortly after noon while at the Riley County Police Department and charged with three counts of aggravated robbery .

He was confined on a $50 thousand bond.

As KMAN reported the end of last year, Moreland  was arrested on robbery charges in Junction City and other jurisdictions, following his arrest by Dickinson county law enforcement authorities. He was taken into custody while Dickinson County Sheriff’s and Abilene Police Departments were investigating an incident that had taken place in their jurisdiction.
The Junction City Police Department had been investigating a series of hotel robberies that took place in Junction City during the month of December. On December first at about 4:12 a.m., the Express Inn & Suites, located at 1214 S. Washington Street was robbed by a single suspect. December second at approximately 8:45 a.m. the USA Inn, located at 1001 E. 6th Street was robbed and on the 15th at about 11:30 p.m. the Express Inn & Suites, located at 1214 S. Washington Street was robbed by a single suspect.
During the investigation of these robberies it was determined that it was the same suspect that had committed all three robberies. It was also learned that Salina had several similar robberies and that the suspect description matched that of the suspect who had committed the robberies in Junction City.
Evidence was located that linked Moreland to the robberies in Salina and Junction City. Moreland was booked into the Dickinson County Jail on charges not related to the robberies.

No further information about the current arrest is available at this time.
