    RCPD Report 06/01

    RCPDReportOfficers with the Riley County Police Department arrested Jeffrey Hughes, 43, of Manhattan while at the Riley County Police Department on May 31st, 2016 at approximately 7:40 PM. Hughes was arrested on a warrant for Probation Violation through Riley County District Court. He was given a bond of $5,000.00 and at the time of this report was confined at the Riley County Jail.

    Police and emergency crews responded to a single vehicle injury accident on private property, in the 1800 block of Kientz Road on May 31st, 2016 at approximately 2:00 PM. This response came after a 1982 Club golf cart driven by Terry Collins, 58, of Manhattan became overturned. Collins was thrown from the vehicle during the accident. Collins was transported by Life Star to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka with apparent life threatening injuries. A Stormont Vail spokesman indicated Collins is listed in critical condition (Wednesday). The accident investigation is still on-going. No further information is available at this time.
