    Several drug arrests by RCPD

    RCPD Cruisers

    Detectives with the Riley County Police Department Special Investigations Unit made several arrests related to the distribution of methamphetamine and illegal substances on June 2nd, 2016 at approximately 6:15 PM.  These arrests occurred in the 100 block of Blue Earth Plaza in Manhattan and were related to a joint investigation with the Geary County Sheriff’s Office, the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office and the Wamego Police Department.  During the operation methamphetamine, a distributable amount of controlled prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and a stolen firearm were seized.  RCPD would like to thank these agencies for their assistance in this investigation and these arrests.

    Raymond Wood, 25, of Wamego was arrested for the offenses of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia (felony level), unlawful use of a telecommunication device, possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor), criminal use of a weapon and possession of marijuana.  He was given a bond of $30,000 and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Ciara Carroll, 21, of Wamego was arrested for the offenses of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia (felony level), unlawful use of a telecommunication device, possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor), and possession of marijuana.   She was given a bond of $20,000.00 and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Cory Kuhlman, 22, of Topeka was arrested for the offenses of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a stolen firearm and criminal in possession of a firearm.   He was given a bond of $18,000 and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Hallie Vardys, 22, of Topeka was arrested for the offenses of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a stolen firearm.  She was given a bond of $15,000.00 and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Investigations into the illegal distribution of narcotics in Riley County are ongoing and police ask that anyone with information or tips on area drug related crime contact the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
