Manhattan PEO Chapter IW presented a $1,200 continuing education grant this week to Manhattan Christian College student Kathy Smith, who is majoring in the LEAD program, with an emphasis in Business Management and Ethics.  Smith, of Manhattan, was presented with the check by IW’s Continuing Education Chair Cathy Scroggs, with committee members, Cheryl Arthur and Jo Lyle, and other Chapter members present. Committee member Carol Keltner was not available for the presentation.

The PEO Program for Continuing Education is a grant program providing financial assistance to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to support themselves and/or their families. The LEAD Program at MCC is specifically designed for adults who need to complete a degree which was already started, but for whatever reason they were not able to complete their degree at that time.
