The Manhattan City Commission approved three requests Tuesday, all having to do with rezoning, annexing and changes to development plans.

The first request was to annex and rezone lot 1 of the Blueville Nursery subdivision from County C-4 to C-5, highway service commercial district. As part of the request, the Commission set a public hearing for September sixth in regards to Blueville’s petition to create a Transportation Development District.

Meade Lumber also received approval to rezone a 1.5 acre tract of land located 2815 Amherst Avenue.

Finally, the Commission approved ordinance changes Tuesday to the Briarview Office Park. The changes will allow for a 3,000 sq ft. out patient surgical center for cardio vascular needs.
