     onaga day camp 8-16
The Onaga Police Department hosted its first day camp with emergency responders Wednesday. Chief Daniel Costlow indicates they had great classes from Kansas Wildlife and Parks, Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office, Onaga and Havensville Fire Departments, Onaga Police Department, and Pottawatomie County EMS.
Costlow adds the goal was to provide as much hands on learning as possible while making it fun, which included a fire simulator and learning how to use a fire extinguisher. The day ended with a cool off in the pool.
