Former Kansas State quarterback Daniel Sams was arrested over the weekend in connection to a Louisiana homicide and home invasion that occurred earlier this month.

Sams was taken into custody by the Lake Charles (LA) Police Department on four charges, including Accessory After the Fact to Second Degree Murder.

The killing occurred on August 12 in Lake Charles. His bond was set at $200,000 and the investigation is ongoing.

Sams spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons at K-State before transferring to McNeese State. He played in 21 games as a Wildcat and ran for 14 touchdowns while passing for four more.
