    A 23-year-old man was arrested yesterday.  Joseph Brand of Manhattan was arrested on the offenses of possession of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs and interference with law enforcement which gave him a bond of $5,000.00  This arrest stemmed from a warrant issued in Riley County.

    A report for theft of property was filed yesterday in the 100 block of Barton Road in Leonardville. Listed as a victim was Farm Bureau in Manhattan and Stacy Wurtz, 31, of Riley. Items removed from the area were listed as personal checks, a Samsung tablet, an HP computer, and a black computer bag totaling approximately $1,495.00
