Kansas State University has nominated three students for Rhodes and Marshall scholarships.

The three students are Patrick Kenney, a senior in philosophy, Ronald Leo Sullivan Jr, a senior in international agribusiness, and Caitlyn Webb, a senior in economics and accounting.

The Rhodes Scholarship is awarded to 32 students nationwide to fund two years of postgraduate study at Oxford University in England. Marshall scholarships are awarded to 40 students around the nation and fund either one or two years at most universities in the United Kingdom.

Interviews will be conducted and the final decision will be in November.

Kenney and Webb are both Manhattan residents, while Sullivan Jr. is a native of Paola, Kansas.

K-State has seen 13 students awarded Rhodes scholarships and an additional 13 awarded Marshall scholarships. The last Rhodes Scholar from K-State was awarded in 2008 and the last Marshall scholar was awarded in 2015.
