    RCPD Report 9/16/16

    Officers with the Riley County Police Department filed a report for the offense of burglary to a vehicle which occurred overnight between Wednesday and Thursday. Police listed Mary McMullen, 29, of Manhattan, as the victim after her unsecured vehicle was entered by an unknown suspect(s) and items were removed. These items included a handbag, a wallet, identification, and financial cards totaling approximate loss of $727. This crime occurred in the 200 block of Highland Ridge Drive in Manhattan and currently officers are asking that anyone with information contact the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.


    On Thursday the RCPD filed a report for aggravated battery and made an arrest in the 1100 block of Garden Way. Officers located and arrested Hal Lucas, 50, of Manhattan, after he was seen leaving the scene of a physical altercation with Michael Agnew, 36, also of Manhattan. Agnew sustained significant injury and was transported to Via Christi Hospital. Lucas was arrested on the offense of aggravated battery and given a bond of $10,000. He is confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.


    Derek Shepard, 31, of Ogden, was arrested Thursday at approximately 8:30 p.m. Shepard was arrested while in the 200 block of Riley Ave. in Ogden on two warrants for the offenses of failure to appear (original offenses of domestic battery). He was also arrested on the offense of interference with law enforcement and given a total bond of $19,000. This arrest stemmed from a traffic stop violation. Shepard was confined at the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
