Kansas City (Matt Verderame) – I don’t know about you, but I think the NFL got this vote right. Kansas City will be sending four players to the 2017 NFL Pro Bowl, including cornerback Marcus Peters, safety Eric Berry, tight end Travis Kelce and receiver/returner Tyreek Hill.
For Peters and Kelce, both are making their second appearances in the game. Peters has done so in just two seasons, leading the league with 14 interceptions in that span. Hill is going in his rookie season, doing so on the back of 10 touchdowns including three on special teams. Berry is going for his fifth Pro Bowl, continuing to make his reputation as the best safety in the league.
As far as snubs, there aren’t too many players with cases. Eric Fisher has been playing some serious left tackle, but he’s blocked out by guys like Joe Thomas. Dee Ford is among the league-leaders with 10 sacks on the year, but players such as Von Miller and Khalil Mack hurt his candidacy. Dustin Colquitt has enjoyed another fine year, but it’s hard to say he’s the best punter in the conference.
