From KSHSAA TOPEKA, Kan. – The Kansas State High School Activities Association Board of Directors voted Thursday to add girls flag football as an official KSHSAA-sanctioned activity, starting in the 2026-27 school year. Manhattan High girls’ wrestling took another step forward in elevating the program on Saturday. Behind two individual state champions and seven total medalists, the Indians placed fourth at the Class 6A state tournament at AdventHealth Sports Park, continuing a rise that has transformed the program in just a few short years. Kansas State women’s basketball senior guard Tess Heal will be held out of competition due to an NCAA violation, the school announced on Saturday. “We have been in communication with the NCAA in regards to this situation.
