    RCPD Daily Activity Report 12/9/16

    Officers with the Riley County Police Department filed a report for a kidnapping that occurred in Junction City on Monday morning at approximately 8:15 AM. The victim, a 32 year old female, reported that she was kidnapped by a 41 year old male known to her. Officers listed additional offenses of aggravated kidnapping, rape, aggravated criminal sodomy, and domestic battery. Due to the nature of the crimes, no additional information will be released. The investigation is ongoing.

    Police filed a report for burglary and criminal damage to property early Thursday after 1 a.m. in the 100 block of S. 4th St. Linde Beauty Supply was listed as the victim when an unknown suspect forced open the back door and attempted to open the cash register. Nothing was taken, but damage was estimated to be $2,000.00. Currently, the suspect is unknown and police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    21-year-old Tyus Price of Wichita was arrested on Wednesday at approximately 6 PM while at the Riley County Police Department. Price was arrested on a Riley County warrant, which listed the offenses of battery and criminal deprivation of property. He was given a bond of $10,000 and as of Thursday morning remained confined at the Riley County Jail.

    A 32-year old Manhattan woman was arrested Wednesday shortly before 5 p.m. in the 1000 block of Pierre St. Alicia Minner was arrested on a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant which listed failure to appear as the charge with an original offense of battery. The warrant had a listed bond of “no bond”, causing Minner to be confined at the time of this report.
