    Two death investigations in Junction City

    Junction City Police are investigating two separate deaths the past few days within a block of each other.

    500 West Spruce
    500 West Spruce

    Early Tuesday morning Officers responded to the 500 block of West Spruce Street in reference to an injured subject. Upon arrival shortly before 12:30 a.m., officers located a 22-year-old male subject with critical injuries. The subject was transported to Geary Community Hospital where he later died. An autopsy has been scheduled and the case is under investigation. At this time no foul play is suspected.

    And shortly before 10:30 a.m. Monday, JCPD Officers responded to the 600 block of West Spruce Street in reference to an unresponsive subject. Upon arrival officers located a 70-year-old male deceased. While no foul play is suspected at this time the case is being investigated by detectives.

    Police indicate the two cases are not related.
