The missing man, who has been tentatively identified by family members as Tyler Gibson of the Topeka area, is likely in the Kansas River, however his location is still considered unknown. Sheriff Riat adds the investigation into this matter does continue, along with searching of the area where the missing male was last seen. Search efforts have included flights by the Kansas Highway Patrol Aircraft and watercraft by the Sheriff Offices and Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks as well as initial ground searches with Law Enforcement and K-9.
A name for the missing person has been provided to the Detectives working this case but Riat says the identity will not be released until positive identification has been made. Again, family members are claiming it’s likely Tyler Gibson.
