Kansas State women’s soccer forward Hannah Davis became the first player in program history to earn a postseason accolade from the Big 12 Conference, as she was named to the league’s All-Freshman Team on Monday. That’s according to a release from K-State Athletics.

Davis, a product of Lincoln, Nebraska, led the Wildcats in assists with five, shots on goal with 18 and corner kicks attempted with 53. Her five assists set the program’s single season record. Her nine points rank tied for third in program history for a season. She was second on the team in points with nine and tied for second on the squad with two goals.

Davis was a two-time Big 12 Freshman of the Week recipient this season. Her two goals were game-winning efforts, becoming the first player in program history with two or more career game-winning goals. She scored her first career goal at South Dakota on September 14, then notched the winner at Kansas on October 6.

In K-State’s final 11 matches of the season, Davis scored or assisted on seven of the Wildcats’ 15 goals. She tied the school record with a four-game point streak from September 8 to September 22.

Kansas State concluded its second season of action and its first in the Big 12 with an overall record of 6-11-1 and a league mark of 1-8-0. The six wins are a new program high for wins in a season, while the Wildcats picked up their first Big 12 win on October 6 at Kansas.
