Officers responded to the report of an injury accident near the intersection of Fort Riley Blvd. and Westwood Rd. in Manhattan on January 26, 2018 at approximately 7:44 AM. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 2003 Chevy Silverado driven by Tyler Welfringer, 19, of Manhattan, had struck a 2003 Cadillac CTS driven by Sandra Dillard, 76, of Manhattan. Dillard was transported to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries. Welfringer was issued a citation for failure to stop at a red light.

Officers listed a 37 year old female as the victim when she reported a known 35 year old female suspect threatened her with a knife during a verbal argument.
