Kansas State women’s soccer head coach Mike Dibbini announced the addition of Elissa Post as the program’s volunteer coach for the upcoming 2018 season.
Post’s responsibilities with the program will include: video analysis and scouting, on-field instruction with K-State’s student-athletes and assisting at K-State’s various camps and clinics.
“We are excited to add Elissa Post to our young program,” said Dibbini about the addition of his newest coaching staff member. “Elissa has the ability to provide experience in various roles within the program. Her experience coaching at Emporia State and her support structure in the community will be vital to our commitment to keep growing as a program.”
Prior to arriving at Kansas State, Post served as an assistant coach at Emporia State in Emporia, Kansas, from 2016 until 2018. While working with the Hornets, Post was responsible for facilitating practice plans, conditioning and recovery of athletes. Before her time at Emporia State, Post served as a youth club coach with Sporting Kaw Valley in Manhattan, as she helps with the development of the U12 boys and the high school girls programs.
Post currently works as a KSYSA staff coach. She is an assistant coach for the 2001/02 girls program. She also served as the junior varsity girls head coach and an assistant varsity coach with Manhattan High School with two stints with the program, the first from 2014 to 2016 and the second in 2018.
Post is certified with NSCAA goalkeeper level 1, USSF national “D” and “E” license and NFHS fundamentals of coaching, concussion certified and first aid certified.
Post graduated from Kansas State in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education with an emphasis in social studies. In 2018, Post completed her Master of Science degree in HPER from Emporia State.
