    Officers filed a report for burglary in the 11000 block of Walnut Creek Rd. in Leonardville on January 14, 2019, at approximately 11:40 AM. Officers listed Richard Schurle II, 42, of Leonardville as the victim when an unknown suspect entered his farming shed and took a welder, torch, stereo, and chainsaws. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,650.00.  Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
    Officers filed a report for burglary in the 1600 block of Fairview Ave in Manhattan on January 14, 2019, at approximately 4:55 PM.  Officers listed Jay Siebert, 71, of Manhattan as the victim when an unknown suspect entered his vehicle approximately six months ago and took his laptop, laptop bag, and US passport. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,345. 00. Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
    Joseph Williams, 33, of Manhattan was arrested in the 3500 block of Rocky Ford Ave in Manhattan on January 14, 2019, at approximately 4:50 PM.  Williams was arrested on the offenses of driving while suspended, possession of marijuana, aggravated battery, two counts of criminal restraint, and two counts of domestic battery. Williams was issued a total bond of $11,000.00.  Williams was still confined at the time of this report.
