Officers filed a report for theft in the 100 block of E Bluemont in Manhattan on February 15, 2019, at approximately 8:40 AM.  Officers listed Walmart as the victim when a known female suspect took cash from the business.  The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $980.00.

Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on February 15, 2019, at approximately 11:30 PM. Officers listed an 18-year-old female as the victim and an unknown male as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported, no further information will be released. Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.

Officers responded to a report of a non-injury accident near the intersection of Bluemont and Tuttle Creek Blvd on February 18, 2019, at approximately 1:15 PM.  When officers arrived on scene they found a 2010 Chevy Malibu driven by Grace Arasmith, 18, of Manhattan had struck a 2011 Toyota Corolla driven by Joy Wagner, 21, of Manhattan and a 2008 Nissan Titan driven by Mark Anderson, 57, of Junction City.  Minor injuries were later reported but no one involved was transported by EMS.  Arasmith was issued a citation for failure to stop at a red light.

Officers filed a report for theft in the 300 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd in Manhattan on February 18, 2019, at approximately 3:20 PM. Officers listed Best Buy as the victim when it was reported an unknown female and an unknown male took two tablets and a smart home thermostat.  The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,247.00. Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.

Datin Palmer, 28 of Topeka was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on February 15, 2019, at approximately 6:00 PM. Palmer was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for theft and two counts of forgery. Palmer was issued a total bond of $5,000.00. Palmer was still confined at the time of this report.

Shane Stokes, 21 of Manhattan was arrested in the 600 block of N 3rd Pl in Manhattan on February 17, 2019, at approximately 1:40 AM.  Stokes was arrested for aggravated burglary, violate protection order and criminal damage to property. Stokes was issued a total bond of $24,000.00.  Stokes was still confined at the time of this report.

Jeremy Baker, 37 of Manhattan was arrested in the 1500 block of Oxford Pl in Manhattan on February 17, 2019, at approximately 10:10 PM. Baker was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. Baker was issued a total bond of $5,000.00. Baker was no longer confined at the time of this report.

Jeffrey Nickerson, 59 of Lawrence was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on February 18, 2019, at approximately 3:00 PM. Nickerson was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for harras by telecom device and three counts of violate protection order. Nickerson was issued a total bond of $5,000.00. Nickerson was still confined at the time of this report.
