The March year to date budget and expenditure report shows the 2019 budget year is 25% of the way through for Riley County.
County Clerk Rich Vargo says the overtime wages for the public works were high, but this was to be expected.
Vargo says there are four departments that are a little over the 25% with their budget, but they do not impose a budget violation.
Vargo says they still have the 2.5 million dollars set aside in the budget stabilization fund in the case of an emergency.
