    Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 3300 block of Fairman Cir. in Manhattan on July 31, 2019, at approximately 6:55 PM. Officers listed a 29-year-old male as the victim when he reported a known suspect damaged his vehicle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,000.00.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 1900 block of Platt St. in Manhattan on July 31, 2019 at approximately 10:25 PM. Officers listed a 20-year-old male as the victim when he reported an unknown suspect took his 2008 Orange Schwinn Moped. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $500.00. Police ask that anyone with information please contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.

    On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at approximately 12:30 PM, Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the 2700 block of Anderson. When officers arrived on scene, they found a blue Suzuki motorcycle driven by Khaled Naser, 25, of Manhattan was struck by a black 2014 Chevy Traverse driven by Shelby Keogh, 24, of Manhattan. Naser was transported to Via Christi for treatment of his injuries. The road was shutdown in the westbound lanes for about an hour, before being reopened.
