    Original:

A candidate for Ogden City Council was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of driving under the influence.

76-year-old Paul Foltz was arrested in the 300 block of North Park Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Foltz was issued a $2,000 bond and was not confined to the Riley County Jail.

This is not the first time Foltz has been arrested this year. In April he was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear and posted a $5,000 bond. Past media reports show Foltz was arrested for alleged domestic battery in January 2018 and again in September 2011, in addition to a DUI charge and criminal use of weapons charge. He was not convicted in the 2011 offense.

Foltz is one of 10 candidates to file for Ogden City Council. The general election is Nov. 5.
